January/February Cut-Out Collage Page
The late January wind is colder than ever, whipping through the studio rafters. Even so, the first subtle hints of spring are felt in the bright sun, the unusual-for-January blue sky and the singing birds early this morning. I finally noticed a little more daylight yesterday in a slightly later sunset and my heart felt a bit lighter, shedding just a tad of the winter gloom. February brings with it epic snowstorms to southeastern PA, but it also brings a little bit of brightness in the form of chocolate, flowers, sweet sentiments, engagement rings and an out pouring of love. My favorite color pink is ever present in all of it’s sweet shades and I dream I’m a Victorian lovely, bustled up in my flowery finest while awaiting my Valentine suitor, who is delivering my favorite sugarless dark chocolate yummies, gobs of pink flowers and new art supplies.
Please email me anything you’ve made with the Collage Cut-Out pages and/or Challenge Inspiration Prompts and I’ll publish your pieces on my blog. The next submission deadline is February 15, to be published on Art Bite Blog on March 1.
